Basil touched down in Hartford without a problem, and then rented a car from Hertz (he stole my Gold Member card and was apparently able to pass himself off as me.) Of course, Basil rented one of the most expensive cars he could (I’m footing the bill) and he drove just under 2 hours to Stamford, where he met up with Starbucker, the first person on the list.
In the meantime, I’ve sent the Fawlty Towers DVD Collection to Starbucker; he should be receiving it Wednesday. And a postcard + trinket are on their way as well.
Starbucker will have until July 26th (or a touch later) to enjoy Basil’s company and the laughs of Fawlty Towers, after which he’ll be shipping the DVD Collection (plus a postcard and trinket we hope!) to the next person on the list.
