Starbucker here - I have to tell you, Basil is a very stylish donkey - first, that white limo was quite a way to make an entrance! You could tell right away that this was not an “ordinary” donkey. I have to admit his “traveling valet” was a bit much. For example, that rain gear you saw from one of Ben’s previous posts - yes, the valet put that on him right before the picture was taken.
Nevertheless, Basil was anxious to “hang” with me for a few days while I had the Fawlty Towers DVD, although he certainly didn’t like the weather, which of course he’s already complained to Ben about. “I’d love to show you the sights in New York,” I said, “but I need to go to Boston for a conference - care to come along?”
Basil was a bit mystified by this, “Starbucker, why didn’t you tell me this before? I would have met you there.”
To this I replied, “Why Basil, then I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy a three hour drive in your white limo!” So off we went to Boston, the four of us - me, Basil, the driver and the valet.

Last night we went to a party at the Roxy, and I have to tell you, Basil is quite the dancer, for a donkey. He loves the 70’s disco stuff, and has this interesing way of shuffling his hooves in a manner the likes of which I have never seen. Needless to say, he attracted a lot of attention (especially with the ladies), and also needless to say he can really hold his liquor too (but the belches are a bit disconcertiing.)
Basil and his posse chilled today while I was at my conference, but right now we’re in our hotel suite (of course, with four of us I couldn’t exactly get a tiny room, could I?), ready to “hit the town” again, before we head back to Connecticut tomorrow. What surprises are in store for us tonight? Stay tuned!!

[...] Party in Boston with Starbucker. And get totally lost there too. [...]
[...] It has been a quiet couple of days for Basil. Even though he is so eager to see the sites it seems that the travel has caught up with him - all those limo rides, disco dancing in Boston, train trips, visiting cultural monuments, and architectural inspections I am not surprised. [...]
