So, Basil will finally get a chance to visit exotic Australia! He’s always wanted to go there, but I’ve kept him comfortably chained up in a dark room modifying WordPress themes and coding in ASP for IGotNewsForYou. But now he’s free, and in a few weeks time he’ll be visiting Leah Maclean in Australia.
Leah Maclean runs a blog titled Working Solo. It’s a great mixture of business advice, technology thoughts and help for solo business folk, entrepreneurs and at-home workers.
One of Leah’s focuses is on helping women in business with technology. In her emails she has this sentence in her sig file, which I think is brilliant: “Demsytifying technology for small business women.”
Her blog isn’t just for the ladies though, there’s a lot there for all of us.
I can’t wait for Leah to guest blog here and tell us all about Australia and Basil’s wild adventures there!
In a cage match, I wonder who would win: Basil or those kangaroos?

Gidday, Basil is already here. I’m playing him in a theatre production which opens Friday, Oct 13 in Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia (a town of 5000 on the Murray River, sort of an Aussie inalnd Riviera). We are doing The Germans, Communication Problems and Waldorf Salad. Cabaret format at tables and we are nearly sold out. I will forward some photos in due course for your interest, regards Shane Douthie.
PS Last year we staged Blackadder II and the year before Monty Python’s Life of Brian, which we think is still a world exclusive.
