This morning I mailed the Fawlty Towers DVD Collection to Liz Strauss for Wednesday delivery, but not before I posed with the DVDs (without Basil, sadly) at historic Fort Stamford (not far from where I live), which was the winter headquarters for a group of Connecticut State Troops during the Revolutionary War from 1781 to 1783.
I’ve included with the DVDs another picture, a postcard and a note that I hope will be passed on as the DVDs travel around the world.
I also reveal my favorite episode of Fawlty Towers, but you’ll have to get on the list to find out!
Thanks again Ben for doing this, and Liz, look for the DVD on Wednesday - and enjoy!

My question is, why did Starbucker consciously hide most of his body behind that big historical marker. Is he hiding something? Maybe the bottom half of him doesn’t exist, eaten away by the acid in too much Starbucks coffee. Maybe he’s not wearing anything and doesn’t want us to know he’s a streaker helplessly stuck in the 70s. Hmmmmmmm…
Tom, you know I like to keep you guessing
BTW, the picture I put in the package to Liz shows more of me (not literally, but you know what I mean), so you will have to get on the list to find out. Cheers!
Starbucker, let’s hope you don’t mean literally! That would be a bit awkward. “Ben Yoskovitz starts a rather…interesting…project…it involves donkeys and, um, naked pictures of people.”
I can see where that would go, but I don’t think that’s where we want to take Where Is Basil? *grin*
Thanks for commenting Tom…how come you’re not on the list yet?
No worries Ben! I’m keepin’ it real - but very proper. I’ll leave it to Basil for the fun and frolic. Take care Ben - hope you are enjoying your vacation.
