It started as a rumor a few days ago, but today I’m able to comfirm that Basil will be going to Belarus in a month or so! He’ll be visiting Eugene Filimon who heard about Where Is Basil? from Leah Maclean’s Friday Fun blog post.
It turns out, Eugene is a software developer just about to start his own software development business called Meliodex. I don’t know Eugene’s expertise, nor have I ever employed Eugene to do work for me, but I’m sure he and Basil can swap tales of fantastical programming feats…sitting in dark rooms, coding all night with cans of Jolt cola. If Eugene can show Basil how to document anything I’ll be happy.
Joe Hauckes will be shipping Basil and the DVDs from Pennsylvania to Minsk, which is going to be a crazy journey for the donkey. I know he’s looking forward to it…
