Although we never figured out the truth behind Basil’s arrest in San Jose, Liz Strauss was able to get him a plane ticket to Savannah, Georgia where the donkey will be hanging out with Chris Cree. She’s assured me she’ll get Basil on that plane, even if she has to club and drug him (which sounds interesting to say the least.)
In order to ensure the Fawlty Towers DVDs got to Chris Cree safely, Liz mailed them by UPS instead of sending them off with Basil. I understand her concern completely.
Liz also did me a favor by using Priceline.com to try and find the cheapest ticket…let’s face it, Basil likes to travel in style and this trip is already costing me a pretty penny. She found a ticket for $278 on US Airways, with only 1 stop in Washington. That’s pretty good. And the donkey only has to leave at 11:00am, so it’s not like he has to wake up too early.
Chris — Basil should arrive around 6:35pm tomorrow. I should get a report from him tomorrow about his flight, then he’s all yours. Best of luck!

When I left Chicago last week US Airways sent me through Charlotte. Going through DC should be interesting for Basil. I hope he makes his connection!
