Basil collapsed in a heap shortly after arriving in the desert city of Mesa, Arizona.

Can’t imagine why - after all, it’s about twenty degrees (Fahrenheit) cooler now in Mesa than it was a month ago!

Basil was outside enjoying a welcome party in the Ellsworths’ lush backyard (their front yard was a bit too - shall we say - rocky for Basil’s hoofs) when he began panting a bit more loudly and furiously than normal. His last words before fainting in the hundred-degree heat were:

“Water! Water!”

Can’t imagine why.
