Basil Heads Back to Canada to Hang with Ben Unsworth in Toronto

Basil’s journey started in Montreal where he works for me as a code-writing donkey. His travels around the globe so far have him returning to Canada a couple times — Nova Scotia, Ottawa and now Toronto.

Ben Unsworth joined the list a few weeks ago after coming across the site from StumbleUpon.

Ben lives in Toronto, Ontario — Canada’s largest city. And Ben’s an entrepreneur. In fact he’s got a few businesses on the go including Globacore and VC Ultimate.

Globacore is a web design, development and hosting company. Near and dear to my heart since that’s the business I started in 10 years ago. So Ben and I have a lot in common - including our names and the fact that we’ve both spent time in Montreal (I still live there of course.)

VC Ultimate is a custom team uniforms company for the Ultimate game. They can help design and manufacture the uniforms. I don’t play Ultimate and I never would have imagined there being a business out there that makes the uniforms, but VC Ultimate does. And they make the uniforms for teams all over the place.

Basil will be coming to Toronto from Maria Palma in San Diego and I suspect it will be the dead of winter when he does. So it’ll be nice and warm in San Diego and then bone-chilling cold in Toronto. Toronto (or the T-dot as some people call it, or Tarana as others call it) doesn’t get quite as cold as Montreal, but it can still be nasty after you’ve enjoyed the sun in San Diego!

I know Toronto well, and so does Basil, but I suspect Ben will be able to take Basil on a couple of great pub crawls and tour some interesting sites for others to enjoy. Many of you may never have been there, and that’s what this is all about!

Here are some interesting sites about Toronto for people (including Basil) to catch up on:

* The official Toronto website

* Toronto.com

* Tourism Toronto
