“Strewth,” says Basil as he walks into the workshop. I think he picked up some of the dialect when he visited Australia. “That looks scary mate, what are you doing now?”

“This is going to be another set of ‘triplets‘. They are sets of three vases which are turned alongside one another on all four faces.”
“Neat, but I thought you said we were going to town today?”
So off we go. First stop is New Glasgow for the vet clinic (not for Basil I hasten to add) and the grocery store. “New Glasgow is the largest town in Pictou County,” I explain to Basil. “I think the population is about 10,000, but there are several other towns nearby. It serves quite a large rural area.”
“We will stop for some sightseeing in Pictou on the way home.”
