Well, I have just been notified that Basil is on his way here.
He seems to be taking the long way around to get to Philadelphia from River John, NS. He is apparantly taking a sail boat down the coast. Hopefully, he makes a right turn at Cape May and comes up the Delaware [...]
It has been another nice fall in Nova Scotia. We weren’t able to make it to the Celtic Colours festival, but Basil did enjoy a walk with Jenny in the woods:

It started raining today and Basil has been kicking his hooves in the workshop watching me turning bottle stoppers. After the tenth one he says “This is getting boring. Can’t you make something else?”.
That wouldn’t be very efficient I tell him, so I take him into the office and show him the blog post [...]
“Smell that salt air,” says Basil.
“We’re lucky today,” I reply. “Very often all you get to smell in Pictou is the pulp mill on the other side of the harbour”.
Basil asks what there is to see in Pictou. I tell him it’s a pretty small town and he tells me he figured that out already. [...]
“Strewth,” says Basil as he walks into the workshop. I think he picked up some of the dialect when he visited Australia. “That looks scary mate, what are you doing now?”
“This is going to be another set of ‘triplets‘. They are sets of three vases which are turned alongside one another on all four faces.”
